Enamel Thermal Insulation Coating
Detailed Introduction
Specification Model:
保温保冷材料
Key Features
1. Inorganic vitrified coating; once cured, it is as hard as enamel and highly resistant to wear and scratches.
2. High-temperature resistance, acid–alkali resistance, and integrated corrosion and rust protection;
3. High infrared reflectivity + low thermal conductivity, offering dual functionality: thermal insulation and protection.
4. The surface is dense, resists dust adhesion, is easy to clean, and exhibits exceptional weather resistance.
5. With long-term use at 300–600°C, it does not chalk or flake off.
Core Performance
Test Item | Standard requirements | Measured value | Conclusion |
Long-term operating temperature | 300–600°C | 300–650°C | Qualified |
Thermal conductivity | ≤0.08 W/(m·K) | 0.05–0.07 | Qualified |
Adhesion | Grade 1 (Cross-Hatch Method) | Level 0–1 | Qualified |
Impact-resistant | ≥50cm·kg | 50–70 cm·kg | Qualified |
Resistance to thermal shock (300°C → cold water) | No cracks or delamination. | No abnormalities | Qualified |
Acid resistance (5% H₂SO₄) | Non-corrosive and non-foaming | No abnormalities | Qualified |
Alkali resistance (5% NaOH) | Non-corrosive and non-foaming | No abnormalities | Qualified |
Hardness | ≥4H | 5H~6H | Qualified |
Appearance | Uniform, free of pinholes and sagging | Smooth and glossy | Qualified |
Application scenarios
1. Boiler outer wall, flue, hot-air duct, kiln mouth
2. High-temperature protection for metallurgical, chemical, coking, and desulfurization equipment
3. Thermal insulation and corrosion protection for high-temperature storage tanks, exhaust pipes, and the outer walls of incinerators.
4. Industrial equipment requiring wear resistance, erosion resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance
Construction method
1. Surface preparation: sandblasting or grinding to remove rust, followed by degreasing and removal of loose rust.
2. Mixing: Stir thoroughly until no sediment remains and the mixture is uniformly pasty.
3. Application: Primarily by spraying; brushing is also acceptable. Apply in 2–3 coats.
4. Interval: Allow at least 4 hours between coats to ensure surface dryness.
5. Curing: Cure at room temperature or dry at low temperature; put into service after complete curing.
Precautions
1. The substrate must be properly derusted to meet the required standards; otherwise, it is prone to delamination.
2. The coating should not be too thick to prevent delamination and pinholes.
3. Construction temperature ≥10°C; at lower temperatures, the curing time must be extended.
